This fried rice is one of those quick dinners that hits the sweet-savory balance just right. Crispy slices of Johnsonville Dr Pepper® sausage get tossed with rice, juicy pineapple, bell pepper, and plenty of garlic and ginger for big flavor in every bite. A simple soy-sesame sauce brings everything together, while scallions, sesame seeds, and chili crisp add fresh crunch and heat at the end. It’s fast, satisfying, and great for using up day-old rice.

Preparation
- Whisk together the soy sauce, mirin, sesame oil, grated ginger, honey, ground white pepper, and salt in a small bowl. Set aside until ready to use.
- Heat the oil in an extra-large sauté pan over medium-low until it shimmers, about 1 minute. Add the onion, and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes, or until tender and golden. Add the sliced Johnsonville Dr Pepper® sausage, and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 3 minutes, or until they start to crisp up. Add the garlic, bell pepper, and pineapple, and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 4 minutes, or until tender. Add the rice, and cook, stirring occasionally, for 5–6 minutes, until the rice turns slightly golden brown.
- Pour the soy sauce mixture over the fried rice in the pan, and cook over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, for about 2 minutes, or until the sauce has reduced completely. Remove from heat, and toss in half of the scallions.
- Divide the fried rice evenly among 4 bowls or serve in half of a pineapple with the center scooped out.. Garnish with sesame seeds, chili crisp, and the remaining scallions.
- Enjoy!
