Copycat McDonald’s Holiday Pie
This copycat McDonald’s Holiday Pie brings back the nostalgic magic of the seasonal favorite with a flaky crust and creamy vanilla custard filling. Store-bought pie dough keeps things easy, while the rich, custardy center bakes up smooth, sweet, and comforting. Finished with a simple vanilla glaze, festive sprinkles, and a pinch of sea salt, these mini pies are warm, bakery-style treats that feel just as special at home as they do from the drive-thru.

Preparation
- Make the pies: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, and set aside.
- Whisk together the pudding mix, milk, dry cake mix, and vanilla in a medium bowl until smooth.
- In a separate mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese with a hand mixer fitted with the beater attachment on medium speed until soft and fluffy, about 2 minutes. Fold in the pudding mixture until fully combined. Set aside.
- Unroll the pie crusts on a clean work surface, and trim away the rounded edges. Cut each crust sheet into 8 squares (roughly 3½ inches).
- Spoon about 3 tablespoons of the filling onto 1 dough square, leaving a ½-inch border around the edges. Lay a second dough square over the top, then gently press around the filling to smooth everything out and release any air. Seal the edges using a fork. Place on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat the filling and sealing process with the remaining dough squares and filling (you’ll have 8 pies total).
- Bake the pies until puffed and slightly golden, 10–12 minutes.
- Prepare the toppings: Whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and sea salt in a small bowl, starting with 1 tablespoon of milk and adding up to 1 additional tablespoon as desired. Drizzle the mixture over the warm pies, then finish with sprinkles while the glaze is still wet. Let the pies stand until the glaze is set, about 30 minutes. Serve.
- Enjoy!
